Dr Don Hettiarachchi attained his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS FRACGP) in 2010. He commenced his practice and spent most of his time in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine in Sri Lanka before joining the Australian health system in 2015. He gained his experience by working in several hospitals and multiple clinical settings, including Royal Darwin Hospital and in Rural Queensland in the past 8 years.

He spent three years working at Royal Darwin Hospital across a wide range of specialties including Emergency medicine, General medicine, General Surgery, Oncology, Hematology, Geriatrics, and Paediatrics. Before moving to Victoria in 2021, he worked as a Senior Medical Officer for Queensland Health for 2 years.

Dr. Don has special interest in Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Child’s Health, Emergency Medicine, Skin Cancer Medicine, and minor Surgical procedures. He takes a keen interest in mental health and chronic health issues.

Dr Don is a fellow of RACGP and holds Diploma in Child Health, Certificate in Emergency Medicine, and professional and advanced certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine.

Outside of work, he enjoys cricket, fitness training, and travelling.
